Liliana
Description
Liliana the Showstopper is a tan and muscular half-elf with numerous tattoos adorning her skin. She has dark freckles and piercing orange eyes, and the sides of her dark hair are shaved. She usually can be found wearing something sleeveless to keep herself cool as she travels around the southern isle.
Her wereboar form is an intimidating sight to behold. It raises her height up signifcantly, and she has huge tusks and a powerful physique. She probably sounds something like this when she's playing.Biography
Liliana grew up on the streets in the Republic of Kreme without much money to her name. Born as a wereboar, she was one of the greatest outcasts of society, but that fact never made her any less proud of who she was. She turned to thievery, but when she tried to swipe some money from a group of traveling performers, they caught her. She transformed into a wereboar to try to scare them into submission, but the vocalist of the band, Rai, transformed into a werebear much larger and scarier than her.
The two of them began laughing about the encounter, rarely ever finding fellow lycanthropes that had such control over their transformations. Rai offered her a job in helping move their equipment, and Liliana gladly accepted. Years passed, and Liliana began to see the band as her family. She picked up performance skills from the others, growing quickly to be the most charismatic wereboar on the continent. When the band's previous lutist left, Liliana was offered to take his place. She used her earnings to buy a lute infused with lightning magic, but soon learned that her own personal sound was too different from the others. Rai and her split on good terms, both recognizing that they were artistically different. Liliana gave him a parting gift: a giant boar named Lily, and told him she would help him remember her bye. Rai loved it, and still occasionally convinces her to adopt Lily's baby hogs to keep her company as she tours.Liliana typically only transforms on stage, and the wereboar aspect of her shows along with the magical bass is something that sets her act apart. She uses the boar tranformation to add growling to her music, which is something very unique to Par'Adeus. She calls her band "Boared to Death." She also gave herself a typical Caldran House name with Showstopper.
After the events transpired at Xaviox's mansion, Liliana tagged along with Lucienne and Yore to get inspired for her next album. The time mage and demigod made for some interesting adventures as they spent months on the road searching for Vesk. Finally finding him, Liliana volunteered to stay back to scout while Yore and Lucienne saved Ashen Cabaret from Krosis. Her curiosity got the better of her as Vesk invited her to his floating castle, but when she arrived and realized that he had stolen The Aeon's artifact, she got ready for a fight. She transformed and charged forward, swinging her thunderbass with reckless abandon. Being out of the demiplane left Vesk vulnerable, and Liliana nearly had him defeated. Unfortunately, Vesk's mutant illithid aid sprang forth right before she could drive the bass down on his skull to finish him off. Chai and Matcha, the boars Liliana had with her, charged at the new enemies, but were easily slain. They pulled Liliana off of Vesk and finished her off in the mansion, allowing Vesk to retreat into his demiplane and beg for his sister to come and clean up the mess he left behind.Relationships
RAI
Rai and Liliana still meet up frequently to open for each others acts. They have remained friends for years, and Rai acts like Liliana's older brother. They are often sending each other letters about the strangest things people have thrown on stage at them, typically trying to one-up each other. Rai takes good care of the boar Liliana gifts him, and often times jokes that the boar has a better temperment than she does.
OLAF
Olaf and Liliana spent a night together, but both of them felt a spark. Liliana loves Olaf's boldness, and found his attitude towards Cake endearing. She knows that he has a job to do, and was thrilled that he would keep in touch with her, hoping they could meet up again after he gets justice in Khem Dural and assists Argos.
Olaf's fury over Liliana's passing led to the destruction of Asuras and the eradication of the vampires that called it home.YORE
Liliana has a thing for dwarves after performing so many shows for enthusiastic dwarven audiences in the United Cities of Starkelm. She'd be the first to admit that she prefers brawns over brains, but Yore's cleverness makes up for that preference. She's glad to have his company as she tags along with them, writing songs about the adventures their current trio gets up to.
LUCIENNE
Lucienne and Liliana don't get along particularly well, but that's mostly due to Liliana's wild nature. Lucienne does respect Liliana's art, but she wishes that the wereboar could take things seriously when need be. She would never admit it, but Lucienne does love having her current company after having been working alone for so long.
Liliana's passing was more distressing to Lucienne than she let on. She grew to care for her greatly, and was shaken to the point of running away after slaughtering Asuras with Olaf.Notable Appearances
Liliana appeared in the session at the vampire mansion as a potential suspect for the murder mystery. She proved her innocence to Olaf and Juno, and became a resourceful ally to the group. Her lycanthropy was passed to Olaf as a gift during a night together.
Liliana didn't survive the encounter in Asuras, sadly being slain by Vesk before Ashen Cabaret arrived to save her. Instead, Vesk's sister, Nil Aternox, impersonated her until they found Liliana's body.
