Relationships
Andreus Wisteria
Charlie and her brother have always been close. Before ascending to the throne, Andreus always tried to take care of her. Even if she didn't need the help, she accepted it. Before the Crown Guard program was established, Andreus acted as Charlie's bodyguard. That usually meant handling royal duties instead of fights, but he cherished the responsibility anyway.
Charlie felt bad that he lost his real sister, so she did her best to include him in her research. This made him a lot more understanding towards "monster races" than their parents, which has been a boon towards Wisteria's relationships with the races of Hadea. That alone left Charlie delighted, but it wasn't enough. She worked hard in the weeks following their parents deaths to convince him to dismantle the Gilded Guard. Of course, in his fragile mental state at the loss of his family, Andreus has yet to be receptive of that request.
Cayden Calloway
For years, Charlie's Crown Guard accompanied her on all of her journeys without any objection. Charlie offered Cal a way to travel out of Wisteria, becoming synonymous with freedom for the knight. In spite of Cal's hesitance to get into a relationship with anyone, Charlie's joy was infectious. The two of them spent a while being on and off, only finally ending things for good when a trip went awry.
The trip narrowly resulted in Cal's death when a distracted Charlie continued her goal instead of coming to her partner's aid. After that, Cal broke things off, and became even more enraged when she learned a secret from Octavian Ren about another aspect of her and Charlie's relationship. The two didn't speak in person for nearly a year, and then Charlie sent a letter asking for a meeting about a special assignment.
Before the two women were able to talk, Ren intercepted and attacked Cal on the docks. This left Charlie heartbroken and confused, and left the nature of the assignment as a mystery.
Octavian Ren
Ren and Charlie had never gotten along particularly well, but Charlie did save his life when he first arrived in Wisteria. After Calloway's death, their relationship only became more discontent. Charlie is well aware that Ren attacked Calloway and Xaveria at the docks, and has spent the last few years trying to uncover the motive. Ren hasn't given her any reason to distrust him since, but that hasn't alleviated Charlie's fear that he's up to something nefarious.
The Accountant
The Accountant being a shadowtouched fascinates Charlie immensely, much to the dismay of Xaveria. Count gets near constant attention, and Charlie treats him more like someone would an advisor than a former prisoner. Much of that likely stems from her disdain towards the Gilded Guards, and the fact that they were who arrested Count.
Xaveria
Xaveria tries to get Charlie's attention, and wonders why it seems like Charlie can't or won't see her. There may be many factors leading to Charlie's rejection, but Charlie seems to have a hard time putting her feeling into words when speaking with Xav. Nevertheless, Xaveria is determined to try to win her over, even after repeated heartbreak.
Tungsten
Tungsten is an enigma, and one that Charlie wants to understand. She assigned her ship's engineer to him to ensure that the warforged remains comfortable and maintained. In the meantime, she's doing her own research on Tungsten's unique features.
Dreamer
As far as unusual creatures go, Dreamer is a prime specimen. However, his association with spirits seems to interest Charlie a bit less than something physical. That isn't to say she isn't fascinated by him and his fusion with a dream spirit, though it is overshadowed with her obsession with The Accountant and Tungsten.
