Ashen Cabaret finishes solving the puzzles of Catbot’s origin, finding that she was once a feline spirit from the feywild merged into a magicanical body. It appeared that Silvanus’ worshippers raided the factory of her birth, and killed many of the humans working on the project. Ashen Cabaret is able to successfully create material that can be used to bring forth any object, so long as the summoner has a deep understanding of the object. As the group descends into the factory, they find the former home of the spirit turned mecha god. A mechanical eye waits for them across the room, but as Juno runs out to retrieve it, a mechanical behemoth of a worm called E.C.A. Delta bursts from the ground. Henry places a wall of force below everyone as the worm burrows underground, and it is unable to locate the group with its tremorsense. Olaf drives Talon into the machine, triggering a horrifying transformation. Olaf is engulfed in flame and emerges looking far more draconic. Talon is changed too, looking like a full dragon’s skull. Jadeth and Juno translate the rune on its eye, “red fire,” and both of their draconic items react like they are prepared for a battle as Olaf steps closer. Unnerved by the recognition for what Talon truly is, the group nabs the eyes and safely puts the aboleth in their home, fulfilling the tasks Jake set aside for them. As soon as they are completed, Thalazar summons them to his lair.
