The Aeon appears as a skeletal mix between lions and dragons. His bones and body are dark and reminscent of of lost shark's teeth. Anyone that seems his true form is immediately filled with a sense of unease and dread around their own mortality. On the crest of his head, he wears a crown made from the decaying light of a long dead star. It resembles a black hole, and earned him his title as The God Star.
When he leaves the ethereal planes, The Aeon is often found appearing as a tall, pale man with messy black hair and dark lifeless eyes. He is more often than not dressed in all black robes that obscure his face. He carries twin sickles, and walks with a large scythe strapped to his back. When he wants his presence to be better known, he can create an aura around himself. This aura has the power to make anything that comes in contact with it drop dead instantly, browning the grass where he walks. The Aeon is a solitary god, preferring to spend his time contemplating the mysteries of the universe rather than interacting with mortals. However, he has always been fascinated by those he sees as having potential for greatness. As the god of death, he recognizes the value of life, and believes himself far above causing harm to mortals himself. Instead, he selects a champion to seek our and eridicate those who intend to trap vessels on the mortal plane rather than letting them pass over into death. His hatred of the undead stems from his belief that they disrupt the natural cycle of death and rebirth. He sees them as abominations that must be eradicated, and in Jadeth's shortcoming as his champion, he has tasked his adopted daughter with this mission.
The Aeon made a deal with Jadeth after he was deceived by Ward the Starfarer and Father Oberren the Lightdevout. He was patient with her at first, recognizing that it was not her fault that he was stuck with a child. However, he did not anticipate that she would be so hesitant to use the powers he granted her, even as she reached adulthood. He saw her reluctance as a waste of his gifts, and he resented her for it.The Aeon is worshipped by priests across Par'Adeus, and greatly feared by necromancers and those that seek to cheat death. His temples are fairly rare, and his iconography is typically only found on graves and in catacombs. The largest temple is located in the Caldran capital of Acheron, where his devout will make pilgrimmages to.
The Aeon is a master of reincarnation and ressurection among other forms of magic. He chooses one mortal to make a pact with and shares his radiant and necrotic magics with them. He collects the souls of the deceased to usher them to the Deep Ethereal in total silence, instead allowing mortals to revisit vivid memories of their lives.
