Description

Dreamer is a younger male Kalashtar with blue hair and pale pinkish skin. In spite of resembling a human, there is something about him that most people can tell is not of this plane. His eyes have a faint ethereal glow that resembles the cosmos. He is 24 years old and about 6 feet tall. His personality fluctuates due to his chaotic nature, so he rarely dresses in finer clothes and always appears a little bit disheveled. Most often he can be found in a soft hot pink robe and colorful shoes that seem to be from another time. He has painted nails that are all completely random colors. None of his clothes match.

Spending any length of time with Dreamer would reveal his fusion with a small blue feline spirit named Casper. When Casper chooses to walk around the mortal plane freely, Dreamer has a dim blue energy that swirls around him. Casper looks like a ghostly blue tabby with glowing white eyes. His stripes swirl and change patterns as he moves around.

Backstory

Dreamer was born on the outskirts of Arelbel 24 years ago, but hardly remembers any of his life before he fused with Casper. Was he cursed by Catbot the day he was born, or was there some run in with the chaos goddess that he couldn't recall? He doesn't know why Catbot cursed him to live a chaotic life, but no one seemed to know why the goddess did anything.

What Dreamer can remember is that he lived with mother, father, younger sister, and older brother. Though, exact details of their home are blurry. Then, about fourteen years ago, the spirit Casper found him while he was having a strange dream - possibly the last one he will ever have. Casper recognized him as an old friend and together, they fused and freed Casper from the Plane of Dreams. Of course, that only seemed to increase his curse's volatility. Now, he finds that some mornings he wakes up as a completely different person than the night prior.

With Casper by his side, Dreamer had trouble holding down a job. The only thing that they both seemed any good at was working as a circus performer in central Wisteria. Orcs, humans, and elves came from all over to view the man touched by the Plane of Dreams and his spirit assistant. All the while, Dreamer desperately sought to establish some sort of order and control over his life. A god that rarely ever reached out to the mortal plane saw potential in Dreamer, and established contact. The god introduced himself as A'Lux, and appeared as a dragon that could rival Bahamut in glorious appearance. Dreamer asked for his aid, and for reasons that Dreamer didn't understand, A'Lux promised it to him. However, worshipping A'Lux proved challenging, the altars to him were rare, and most people didn't recognize his name. The religion was blasphemous, but the power Dreamer found through his devotion was real.

A'Lux and Casper seem to sometimes be opposing forces in his life, but they both agree that Dreamer is loyal above all else, even if unpredictable.

Relationships

A'Lux

A'Lux is Dreamer's god, and works with him to mitigate the most harmful aspects of Dreamer's curse. For his unshakeable loyalty, A'Lux favor grants Dreamer powerful holy magic. What A'Lux gets out of this ordeal remains mysterious. Is Dreamer an experiment of A'Lux's authority in controlling even the most potent chaos, or does he truly care for his cleric's fate? Either way, it's certain that being separated from A'Lux's divine power would spell trouble for Dreamer in controlling his chaotic curse.

Casper

Dreamer thinks of Casper like a family member. Casper tries to communicate with Dreamer, albeit with limited success since Dreamer doesn't speak cat. The two of them often operate on the same wavelenght since Dreamer is the only person that seems to understand that Casper is far more than just a cat. Due to this, the two often interact in ways that would be more fitting of two friends than a man and his pet. When they have downtime, the pair reads books and plays dragon chess. Casper regards Dreamer as an old friend, but Dreamer doesn't recall ever meeting him prior to his dream.
