Exogenesis

Session 11: Back to the Future

With Therron Rithe slain and the Deck of Many things secured. The Shadow prophets find themselves in a desolate arctic future. They partner with a vampire named Sky (scarlet) who had been surviving in this frozen landscape for years alongside her husband and a handful of other survivors. Most troubling, they find a slain Xaveria and Calliope who appear to have died defending the fey portal. Sky is being accompanied by three baby blue dragons, two of which seem to be afflicted by the malevolent corruption plague that they had seen previously.

They pass back by the festival grounds and find a massive hole that leads so deep into the earth that it’s impossible to see the bottom of it. It clearly cuts through a vast network of caves that marke up the underdark. Octavian Ren is one of the surviving members of Sky’s group, and he’s relieved to see the Shadow Prophets, wistfully thinking that with their help, maybe the world could have been saved. He mentions that jumping through time isn’t impossible, but that the god Kronos, has been missing for years. When spotted by a horder of corrupted creatures, they teleport to the site of his last surviving temple in Hadea – a town called Clavignon.

They enter into the temple and descend into the basement, finding a weird horde of treasures that seem to stretch beyond generations from ancient blades to products that we would see in the modern day. A hidden spectator watches the party fight, unbeknownst to them, and reveals herself as Lucienne, the daughter of the lost time god. She agrees to send the party into the future, being able to channel magic from The Deck of Many Things to do so. In exchange for her help, she requests the party uses their wish to resurrect her friend – or else she’ll return and make them wish they had.
