In session 2, you traveled across the sky between the capital of the Elysian Empire, Wisteria, and the capital of the kingdom of Vicai, Raesha Vicai. On this journey, Dreamer experienced his first “dream” in nearly a decade– a vision from the memories of his spirit. He witnessed a temple to an unknown god come under siege from a sudden influx of nightmares that surged from the mortal plane. Ultimately, Casper was forced to flee and abandon his home. Meanwhile, Xaveria found a note on her table alongside a ring of mind shielding, seemingly left for her from a secret admirer. Charlie became uneasy when presented with the note and the ring, but eventually told Xaveria what it is. Charlie also requested that her engineer work with Tungsten to install an upgrade that would allow him to pick up transmissions and better express himself with heightened speaking capabilities.
As you continued towards Vicai, the airship came under threat of a storm giant, but The Accountant was able to serenade him. Later, you fought off an attack of pterodactyls and aerosaurs.
In the night, Xaveria was startled to find Captain Ren rummaging through her things to look for Captain Calloway’s sword, which he was unable to locate. He accused Xaveria of being close to Calloway for her to have risked her life for Xav’s, but Xaveria only met Calloway on the same night she died. Later, Charlie admits that she knows that Ren attacked Calloway, but since they were friends, has been looking for a reason prior to taking any action.
Landing in Vicai, your group heads out to locate some hirelings for your new facilities, only having the one they released from Charlie’s cryo cube– a rhyming pixie named Mitzi. After some adventures around the city, you recruit a lizardfolk named Turasjir, a human werewolf named Rasputin, and a kobold named Richard. Before heading to the Seat of Iron, you also get in some shopping. Tungsten and Xaveria pick out two cats for the ship to keep the mice out of the kitchen, and The Accountant begins playing his bagpipes loudly in the streets. Xaveria tries again to woo Charlie with a crow feather necklace, which Charlie hesitantly accepts. She tells Xaveria that she’s too young for her taste, and asks if the name “Aberdeen” means anything to her.
Some guards drag The Accountant towards the Seat of Iron to face the king after disturbing the peace with his bagpipes, and the rest of your group eventually follows him over.
